Financials / Budget
The budget process begins several months in advance of the budget year. Employees and committee chairpersons work together to determine the budget for the specific areas. These requests are then incorporated into the full Village budget for review by the entire Village Board. By the November meeting the Board has had the opportunity to review the preliminary version, make cuts and changes as it sees fit. The Board will then approve the budget for posting. The final adoption is done after a public hearing that typically occurs in early December.
